Blog entry 38.
Fishing wise this week JC managed two day trips and one afternoon session into dark session, the later produced a lovely common, as ever Jules was utilising the combination of Scopex Squid and the new Nashbait Citruz (both crumbed up).
The new Citruz is now available in all good Nashbait stockists, and is ideal for any angler combining the legendary Citruz attractor package and a brand new food bait base mix. Julian's other two trips in all honesty were probably really only reconnaissance trips, and he a chance to get a feel for the water in the spring.
The first trip revealed gin clear water everywhere, Jules guesstimated where they'd be and caught two. The next trip was gin clear again, but this time he guesstimated wrong and had to move and static stalk one out. Thank goodness for the Lithium powered Powerbarrow, Fishery pellet, Nashbait Tiger Nut Slush and crumbed Monster Shrimp which was allowed to mush up overnight, helping to produced the goods. It's not easy going but on there it never is.
Off the bank plenty was going on as ever. Jules had his usual three weekly Reflexology pain relief, caught up with his sister Alison at Bishopthorpe Palace about her Moroccan holiday, and had lunch with some retired York Magistrates "The York Divas". Two gym trips, a half decent 30 mile pushbike ride where he got absolutely soaked half way round followed by more book work.
Most importantly the gardener came and cut the lawns for the first time since late September 2023 due to the wet weather. Jules then had an enjoyable afternoon brushing up, weeding and getting the garden back to something like ship shape. Heck he even had chance to watch some excellent carp films on YouTube at home, Oli Davies, Scott Lloyd and the like.
As always thanks for reading, keep an eye out for Blog entry 39, tight lines and happy angling Jules.
