Blog entry 35.
On the bank this week JC got just two trips in but a fish on each session, Jules had a long awaited return to one of his favourite syndicates, he got there in the morning and got himself in a swim where he was pretty confident of a bite. Come mid afternoon a rod was away and he landed one after seeing fizzers over one of his spots.
With darkness falling he felt pretty confident of some more action, that was until numerous fighting pairs of geese moved in right above his baits in four feet of water followed by heavy rain which lasted for the remainder of the session. JC packed up in some horrible weather, feeling sorry for himself he reward his belly with a fried egg and extra mushroom sandwich on the way home.
Session number two was on another syndicate, a multiple hit in the pouring rain where the catching was enjoyable, the fatigue of month after month of rain is definitely starting to setting in now. Not fishing burnout but weather fatigue or more correctly rain fatigue.
Off the bank the rain scuppered Julian's outside house renovation plans again and his planned midweek bike ride. However he did manage some credible miles over the weekend in wild conditions. Rain, sun, biting crosswinds and even some hailstones. Jules had his restorative Reflexology, two gym trips and a trip to York for his six monthly hair trim
