Blog entry 33.
Jules managed to squeeze in a day session at the end of this week, conditions were not great when he arrived with a strong biting cold easterly wind and rain in the air, but whilst you've got a rod in the water their is always a chance. Having spotted carp close in Jules went with the same old approach, Bushwhackering out Nashbait Citruz Nude/Scopex Squid crumb, complemented with an over shotted pop up.
After a few hours JC wasn't feeling happy, so he changed things around and ended the day landing six carp. Absolutely made up, and it taught him that lack of time is no barrier to success if you have opportunities presented to you and capitalise on them. Preparation, determination and the stars lining up.
Off the bank Jules and his good lady had four wonderful days in Barcelona which was amazing. A superb hotel, great tours, amazing food and weather to dream of. What a city, what a break. Julian filmed a Webinar for the Angling Trust on his start in fishing and his journey to becoming a carp angler and why he doesn't want to be defined by that alone.
He enjoyed a trip with pal Andy to one his favourite memory waters, finally Julian drove down to Old Mill Lakes and did a talk for charity. From folded handles to single sticks, mainlines to rig baloney, rods to hook sharpness.
As always thanks for reading, keep an eye out for Blog entry 34, tight lines and happy angling Jules.
