Blog entry 37.
The weather still seems to be all over the place, hopefully the strong but mild winds will wake the carp up, and maybe dry the bankside out a little, before the next deluge?
on the bank this week Julian enjoyed two afternoon into dark trips which produced five carp. He's still catching them on the winter/early spring tactics. Had a social session with Brian and Graham where although we caught from the afternoon onwards, overall it just wasn't happening.
A strange day but rewarded at the end. That said packing away in the rain again did make JC think of that famous saying "I'll be glad when I've had enough of this"
Off the bank Jules finally got down to see Ritchie McDonald at Norton Disney and as usual he was on fine form. The venues well up (water levels wise) but on our next trip we're fishing. Great to see him so upbeat about the future and thanks to all who've aided Ritchie's journey.
Spooled up the last of the rod/reel combinations with Nash Armourline in 20lb, so let's see what the next two months bring?. A long old trip down to Chester to represent Nash Tackle and Nashbait at The Tackle Store's 10th Anniversary Celebrations event on Saturday. Fantastic turnout, superb shop and staff, great to see so many companies there too and the new Nashbaits, tackle, carp sweets, stickers and Marlin Machine seemed to go down a treat.
As always thanks for reading, keep an eye out for Blog entry 38, tight lines and happy angling Jules.
