Blog entry 36.
Fishing wise this week Jules had intended to do a twenty four hour and a day session, but instead he enjoyed two day trips and an afternoon/evening session. You make plans and life gets in the way as they say, the first day trip produced five carp on what was a really cold day.
JC found them grouped up and enjoyed two manic bite spells. Plenty of Citruz/Scopex Squid bags tied up and recasting before the pictures meant he maximised his chances. His twenty four hour trip was changed to a day trip after he found the water gin clear and dead.
Three hours of looking and despite being able to look down into 80% of the water (shallow, high trees and tap water) Julian saw nothing. He ended up Bush Whackering all three rods under overhanging branches and managed a mid double in the afternoon. He wasn't really feeling it so he headed for home.
The final trip was an afternoon/evening session and managed two captures in changeable conditions. One was in stunning sunshine and one was in pouring rain. Jules should/could have had more but squabbling geese over his baits at prime bite time ruined his chances.
Off the bank the trip planned to see Ritchie at Norton Disney was moved a week due to cars, caravans and lake closures which was a little disappointing. Never mind it'll keep. Managed two gym trips and on Saturday some healthy miles on the Boardman in the sun. Managed to help one set of friends lifting furniture, a video call with a friend, the next Total Carp (Jules Monthly Musings) sorted and mailed, and also fitted some new Lithium batteries in the Nash Power barrow.
As always thanks for reading, keep an eye out for Blog entry 37, tight lines and happy angling Jules.
